I grew up in Towson, Maryland and received my first camera as a gift on my final day of elementary school. That was in 1985 and I've had serious case of the shutter bug ever since. When I was a kid we took frequent trips to my mom's native Montana and it was there that I first feel in love with the light and landscape of the mountains.
Being in the mountains brings me peace. When I'm in the high country all the stress and impatience of the real world drips away. It's in nature that I feel most at home and I try to convey in my images the joy and contentment I feel there.
It was in 2005 when I landed (maybe crash landed) in the Green Mountain State. After I arrived I spent a lot time exploring the hiking trails across the state and slowly I began building a portfolio of images. Eventually I hit the road traveling to hundreds of art shows and farmers markets around Vermont. In 2016 my wife Tara and I opened Green Mountain Light Gallery in Morrisville and we moved into our current location in Jeffersonville in the spring of 2018.
